About us

The Health Data Forum is an international platform dedicated to advancing healthcare through the smart, ethical, and impactful use of health data. Since its founding in 2020, the Forum fosters thought leadership, collaboration, and innovation by bringing together data scientists, healthcare professionals, policy makers, industry leaders, and patient advocates globally.

The annual Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit is a cornerstone of the Forum's activities. This year's edition—"Driving Change through Data Insights"—took place on 24–25 September 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The summit featured keynotes, panel discussions, live demos, and hands-on sessions that explored the transformative potential of data in improving health and care systems.

Charitable Partner
We are deeply grateful to The Mathew Foundation for their generous support as our Charitable Partner. Their commitment to helping others aligns perfectly with our mission at the Health Data Forum to foster ethical, collaborative, and impactful innovation in health data.

Our Team

The Health Data Forum is driven by a passionate team of conveners, innovators, and collaborators dedicated to advancing health data literacy, responsible AI adoption, and meaningful cross-sector dialogue. Led by Paul Nunesdea, PhD, CPF, our Firestarter, and supported by an international ecosystem of contributors and partners, we organise global events, executive think tanks, and expert-led initiatives that help shape a more grounded and collaborative future for health and care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create spaces for dialogue that generate value, helping health systems move from data collection to actionable insights, from innovation to equity, and from policy to practice.

To expand this vision, we are supported by Architecting Collaboration, the platform that powers the activities of Health Data Forum Ltd and hosts our wider ecosystem of initiatives, expert networks, and collaborative programmes.

Through Real Data Better AI, our branded movement going forward, we advocate for a more grounded approach to digital health transformation — one that prioritises real-world data, real-world evidence, practical readiness, and responsible implementation. We believe better AI in healthcare must be built not only on technical progress, but on relevance, trust, governance, and human-centred learning.
