Aitor Moreno

Head of Quantum Technologies and Systems
Aitor Moreno Fdz. de Leceta graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Deusto in 1995 and holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of the Basque Country. He is currently Head of Quantum Technologies and Systems at LKS Next.
He also coordinates the Quantum Technologies Group at the Vitoria-Gasteiz School of Engineering and teaches on the Big Data Programme and the Master's Degree in Quantum Computing at the University of Deusto and UNIR. He is also a lecturer on the Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Programme at the University of Navarra and teaches Automation and Control at the University of the Basque Country, among other academic roles.
He manages projects involving the implementation of quantum optimisation and simulation solutions in hybrid systems. His work focuses primarily on the automatic extraction and inference of relationships and knowledge through semantic graphs, as well as neurocomputing, robotics, quantum computing, optimisation, simulation and quantum-safe communications.
He is involved in the management of European and national R&D projects applying artificial intelligence and quantum computing across different fields. He is also a regular contributor to conferences, scientific publications and outreach initiatives at both national and international levels.
