Chris Van Bronckhorst is Head of EU Health Agencies and Benelux Government at IQVIA, where he leads engagement with European and national public-sector health stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and health authorities. His work centres on enabling the responsible, FAIR and scalable use of real-world data to improve patient outcomes, strengthen regulatory decision-making and support evidence-based healthcare innovation.

A senior IT and digital-health professional, Chris combines a technical foundation in software development, data engineering and enterprise architecture with extensive leadership experience in large-scale digital-transformation programmes. His expertise sits at the intersection of health IT, data platforms, interoperability, privacy-preserving data processing, data governance, and regulatory-driven health-data sharing.

At IQVIA, Chris leads multinational teams delivering advanced health-data services for public authorities, including the European Medicines Agency. His work supports pharmacovigilance, regulatory analytics, and observational research, translating legal, policy, and scientific requirements into practical, secure, and scalable technical designs. He bridges data scientists, security specialists, life-sciences organisations, and public authorities.

Chris is closely engaged in implementing the European Health Data Space, with particular attention to the secondary use of health data, federated analytics, and approaches that allow cross-border analysis while data remains with local health-data holders.
