Eric Sutherland is a Senior Health Economist at the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD), where he leads the organisation's work on digital health, health data governance and the responsible use of AI in health. He is responsible for evolving the OECD Recommendation on Health Data Governance and developing policy guidance that balances data protection with timely access to high‑quality data, building on prior experience leading Canada's Pan‑Canadian Health Data Strategy and authoring its national health data and information governance framework.
