From Wales to the World: The Health Data Forum Replay Season Begins!

The journey that started in Cardiff is far from over — it's just entering a new chapter.
After an inspiring gathering at the Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit – Wales 2025, we're thrilled to announce the launch of our Replay Season, a 12-week series bringing the most powerful moments of the Summit back to life.
Between 16 October 2025 and 29 January 2026, audiences worldwide will be able to relive the conversations, insights, and collaborations that made Wales a defining moment for the Data First, AI Later movement.
"The Health Data Forum isn't just another conference — it's a dialogue that continues long after the stage lights fade," says Paul Nunesdea, Firestarter of the Health Data Forum. "These replays are our way of keeping the energy, trust, and purpose alive."
The Replay Schedule: Relive the Momentum
Each week, new sessions premiere on LinkedIn and YouTube, revisiting the highlights that defined the Cardiff summit.

Highlights from Wales 2025
The Cardiff Summit, held at the Principality Stadium, brought together over 150 experts from 20+ countries, uniting leaders from academia, healthcare, industry, and civil society.
Co-hosted with Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), the event demonstrated how data integrity, interoperability, and collaboration can create ethical, patient-centred innovation.
Keynote contributors included:
-

Michael West, King's Fund & Lancaster University
Ifan Evans, Executive Director of Strategy DHCW
-
Emmanuel Bacry, Chief Scientific Officer, French Health Data Hub
-
Steve MacFeely, Chief Statistician, OECD
-
João Breda, Head, WHO Europe Quality of Care Office
Emma Gordon, Director of Administrative Data Research UK (ADR UK)
Tiago Taveira Gomes, CEO & Founder, Sigil Scientific Enterprises
Their collective message was clear: driving change through data insights requires trust, transparency, and teamwork.
The Joint Charter: A Shared Foundation for Trust
Among the Summit's most important outcomes was the creation of the Joint Charter on the Trustworthy Secondary Use of Health Data — a co-designed framework promoting fairness, transparency, and accountability in how data is used for research and innovation.
"We're turning dialogue into shared commitment," explains Padmavathi Roy, COO of Data First, AI Later. "The Charter is more than a document — it's a promise to put data ethics at the heart of every innovation."
The Charter is now being refined collaboratively among Health Data Forum partners across Europe, India, and the Middle East.
Looking Ahead: Dubai 2026
The global journey continues.
Next year, the Health Data Forum Executive Think Tank – Dubai 2026 will take place as a side event to Arab Health 2026, in collaboration with our partners at ZIMAM.
