Iñigo de Miguel Beriain

Iñigo de Miguel Beriain is an Ikerbasque Research Professor and Distinguished Researcher at the University of the Basque Country's Chair in Law and the Human Genome. His work explores the legal and ethical governance of health data, genomics and AI, with particular expertise in the European Health Data Space, privacy, consent, secondary use of data and trustworthy innovation in personalised medicine. He has led and contributed to numerous EU research projects on the societal, legal and ethical dimensions of new technologies, including the H2020 PANELFIT project on personal data processing.
