Jérôme de Barros

Jérôme de Barros is a Policy Officer in the Digital Health unit at DG SANTE, with over a decade of expertise in implementing Digital Health programmes and policies. He is closely involved in the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation and infrastructure, with a particular focus on data quality and enabling secondary use of health data for research and innovation. Before joining the European Commission, Jérôme worked on the DataLoch initiative at the University of Edinburgh, building an integrated platform for regional health and social care data collaboration.
