Dr Kimberlyn (Kim) McGrail is the Associate Dean, Research, in the School of Medicine at Simon Fraser University and the CEO and Scientific Director of Health Data Research Network Canada. A leading expert in population data science, she also serves as Scientific Advisor to Population Data BC and as a Professor in the UBC School of Population and Public Health, with research focused on quantitative policy evaluation, health equity, and the use of linked population data for health system learning. Dr McGrail has held advisory roles for Canada's pan‑Canadian Health Data Strategy and the Global Partnership on AI, and is a recognised teacher and mentor, having received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and applied research.
