Linda Galbraith

Linda Galbraith is a passionate patient advocate with lived experience and a strong leadership role in health research and innovation. She currently serves as the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Chair for the International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED), a role particularly meaningful to her following a delayed diagnosis that took over three years from her initial presentation to doctors.
Linda brings the patient voice to the forefront of research and regulatory innovation through multiple leadership roles. She is PPI Lead for RadNet Scotland, Co-Chair of the Scotland Cancer Centres, and a member of the Flatiron Patient Voice Panel (PVP). She also collaborates closely with the MHRA on rare disease initiatives and is Co-Investigator in 10 active studies.
Prior to her involvement in PPIE, Linda worked as a hospital manager and a management consultant, but was forced to leave her professional career due to immune system complications following treatment. Since transitioning into PPIE work four years ago, she has become a respected and influential voice in shaping patient-centred research and innovation.
