Cybersecurity Chair
Mark Edwards is Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Profession for cyber security at Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), responsible for implementing and running the enterprise information security program across NHS Wales. This involves identifying, evaluating, mitigating and reporting on legal, regulatory, commercial, digital, data and technology risks in a cybersecurity context, while enabling and advancing business objectives
Mark joined DHCW from the private sector, where he ran his own networking, cloud and cybersecurity company for almost 30 years through to acquisition in 2022. He lives in Penarth, has two rescue Lurchers which keep him busy, likes to try to keep fit, and is a keen SCUBA diver.
