Dr Matthew Wintle is a Physician, Associate Medical Director and Chair of the Research & Innovation Board at Digital Health and Care Wales. His career in health innovation started at a Californian biotechnology company in 2002, where he helped deliver four first-in-class medicines to patients with rare and common diseases by listening to Stakeholders and establishing evidence generation capabilities across the product development and health outcomes research continuum. On returning to the UK in 2014, he supported the development of translational research capabilities at Oxford University, the National Institute of Health Research, Life Arc, and the African Academy of Sciences, working with the Gates Foundation. He continues to provide medical and product development support to companies of diverse sizes in the International Digital and Health Life Sciences sectors.
