Myriam Fernández Martín

Dr Myriam Fernández Martín, PhD, MSN, RN, is Head of Health Innovation for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Amazon Web Services (AWS). A healthcare executive, nurse and digital-health leader, she brings more than 20 years of international experience at the intersection of healthcare, technology and innovation, including work across Europe and the United States.
In her role at AWS, Dr Fernández works with healthcare organisations, governments, and industry partners to use cloud, data, and artificial intelligence to deliver more personalised, outcomes-focused, and equitable health services. She is recognised for connecting clinical reality with technology strategy, helping leaders translate digital transformation into practical improvements for patients, professionals and health systems.
Before joining AWS, she built and led healthcare value-advisory capabilities at Cerner/Oracle Health. Her focus areas include AI-enabled care, clinical innovation, data-driven decision-making, personalised health, and responsible healthcare transformation. She is also a professor at the University of Barcelona's Siemens Healthineers Chair in Digital Health and a member of the DigitalEurope Health Executive Council.
Dr Fernández has been named a Most Admired Woman in Digital Health and is a frequent international keynote speaker. Her work is grounded in a simple principle: technology should strengthen—not replace—the human relationships, clinical insight and trust at the heart of healthcare.
