Tiago Magalhães

Tiago Magalhães is the Director of Bioinformatics at M42, Abu Dhabi, where he oversees the bioinformatics team to produce and analyse the EGP, one of the largest population cohorts in the world. Previously, Tiago was the VP for Bioinformatics at GMI, Genomics Medicine Ireland, and the Executive Director at CCMAR, a marine research institute. Tiago has worked and published in genomics in Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, cancer, ancestry, and regional innovation.

Tiago Magalhães, Director Bioinformatics at G42 Healthcare, leads groundbreaking genomics initiatives with the world's largest long-read cohort. Specialising in large-scale bioinformatics, computational biology, and drug discovery, he balances strategic thinking with extensive research projects. A Ph.D. in Neurodevelopment/Bioinformatics and an EMBA, Tiago has an extensive publication track record.
