One Forum, Three Domains
The evolution towards healthdataforum.org
The Health Data Forum has grown from a European event platform into an independent international organisation, global community, and continuing movement for the responsible use of health data.
During this evolution, three domains—healthdataforum.eu, healthdataforum.com, and healthdataforum.org—have supported different stages of our journey. We are now consolidating our institutional presence under one primary digital home:
healthdataforum.org
This transition is not a departure from our history. It is a way of preserving that history while creating a clearer, more coherent platform for the future.
healthdataforum.eu
Where the journey began
The .eu domain reflects the Health Data Forum's European origins.
It hosted some of the Forum's formative activities, including the early Global Hybrid Summits and the 2022 dialogue on health data quality and dynamic complexity. It also provided the first digital home for a community connecting healthcare professionals, data scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, and patient representatives.
The original Data First, AI Later launch materials similarly reflected this stage of the organisation's development, using the .eu identity alongside the emerging international Health Data Forum platform.
Its future role
healthdataforum.eu will remain part of our digital heritage and continue to protect our European identity. Its content will progressively be migrated, preserved, or referenced through healthdataforum.org.
The domain will eventually function primarily as a gateway, directing visitors to the relevant European programmes, summit archives, and policy dialogues on our main website.
The existing site already communicates that the global platform has moved to .org.

healthdataforum.com
From events platform to global community
The .com domain supported the Health Data Forum as it expanded beyond its initial European footprint.
It became a home for event programmes, recordings, expert conversations, thought-leadership content, and the growing international community surrounding the Forum. It represented an important entrepreneurial and experimental stage in which the platform tested new formats, partnerships, and global hybrid dialogues.
Its future role
Content still hosted at healthdataforum.com will be reviewed and transferred to the appropriate areas of healthdataforum.org.
Once this process is complete, the .com domain should be permanently redirected to the principal .org platform. This will:
- prevent audiences from encountering competing versions of the Forum;
- concentrate search visibility and website authority;
- ensure that partners and participants always reach current information;
- preserve the .com address as a protected brand asset.

healthdataforum.org
Our institutional and global home
The .org domain expresses what the Health Data Forum has now become: an independent, mission-led, non-profit international platform.
healthdataforum.org is the primary and authoritative home of:
- Health Data Forum Ltd;
- the Global Hybrid Summit series;
- executive think tanks and regional dialogues;
- the Real Data, Better AI movement, evolving from Data First, AI Later;
- the Wales Joint Charter and future collaborative outputs;
- the Health Data & AI Experts Hub;
- publications, videos, learning resources, and event archives;
- partnership and sponsorship opportunities;
- the Forum's international community.
The current site describes the Health Data Forum as an international platform advancing healthcare through the smart, ethical, and impactful use of health data.
The move to .org is also visible in the Forum's more recent institutional documents. The Bilbao 2026 concept note, for example, identifies Health Data Forum Ltd as a UK NGO and uses an official @healthdataforum.org contact address.

Why are we consolidating
As the Health Data Forum grew, the three domains reflected genuine stages in its development. Maintaining them as separate active websites, however, can create uncertainty:
Which website contains the most recent information?
Which domain represents the organisation?
Where should partners, speakers, sponsors, and community members connect with us?
The consolidation under healthdataforum.org provides a simple answer.
It creates:
One institutional identity
Health Data Forum Ltd and its international mission are clearly represented through the .org domain.
One source of truth
Current events, organisational information, programmes, partnership options, and publications are maintained in one place.
One connected history
Earlier European summits and international initiatives are not discarded. They become part of a structured archive showing how the Health Data Forum has evolved.
One platform for the future
New initiatives can grow within a coherent ecosystem rather than creating additional disconnected websites.
From Data First, AI Later to Real Data, Better AI
The domain transition also accompanies an evolution in our work.
Data First, AI Later established the foundational principle that trustworthy AI must begin with data integrity, integration, governance, equity, and public trust. The Wales Joint Charter subsequently developed this foundation through the principles of trust, transparency, and equity.
Real Data, Better AI now carries this work into its implementation phase: connecting policy with practice, data readiness with system performance, and technological intelligence with measurable public benefit.
The principle remains unchanged:
Better AI does not begin with a bigger model.
It begins with better data, stronger relationships, and trusted governance.
One Forum. One community. One digital home.
Our three domains tell the story of the Health Data Forum:
- .eu represents where the journey began;
- .com represents how the community expanded;
- .org represents what the Health Data Forum has become—and where it is going next.
Our main home is now healthdataforum.org
All future programmes, events, publications, partnerships, and community initiatives will be developed and communicated through this domain.
