Miguel Barbosa is a biomedical engineer, health technology innovator and co-founder and President of Tec2Med Global Innovators, an international initiative connecting biomedical engineers, clinicians, researchers and entrepreneurs to accelerate multidisciplinary innovation in healthcare.
A Master in Biomedical Engineering from NOVA School of Science and Technology, Miguel has been closely involved in building innovation environments where engineering, medicine and entrepreneurship come together to develop and validate new healthcare solutions.
Through Tec2Med, he has contributed to initiatives spanning Responsible AI, biomedical sensors, wearables, digital health and medical technology development, as well as international collaboration between Portugal and Brazil. He is also involved in the development of Tec2Med CIIMEB — the International Center for Innovation in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering — created to foster research, technology transfer and the development of high-impact biomedical solutions.
Miguel brings to the Health Data Forum Expert Hub a multidisciplinary perspective on how biomedical engineering, health data and emerging technologies can be translated into practical innovation, with a particular interest in connecting technical talent, healthcare professionals and real-world health challenges.
