About us

The Health Data Forum is an international platform dedicated to advancing healthcare through the smart, ethical, and impactful use of health data. Since its founding in 2020, the Forum has fostered thought leadership, collaboration, and innovation by bringing together data scientists, healthcare professionals, policy makers, industry leaders, and patient advocates from across the globe.

A cornerstone of the Forum's activities is the annual Health Data Forum Global Hybrid Summit. This year's edition—"Driving Change through Data Insights"—will take place on 24–25 September 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, in partnership with Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW). The summit will feature keynotes, panel discussions, live demos, and hands-on sessions that explore the transformative potential of data in improving health and care systems.

Building on the success of past editions, the 2025 summit will expand its focus beyond Real-World Evidence (RWE) to include topics such as responsible AI in health, citizen engagement, cloud-based health data infrastructure, data standards, and the future of personalized medicine. Speakers will include leading voices from WHO, national digital health bodies, academia, and global technology providers.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create spaces for dialogue that generate value, helping health systems move from data collection to actionable insights, from innovation to equity, and from policy to practice.

To expand this vision, we are now supported by Architecting Collaboration—a platform that powers the activities of the Health Data Forum Ltd Charity and hosts our global initiatives, consulting network, and event ecosystem.

In alignment with the "Data First, AI Later" movement, jointly launched by the Health Data Forum and the Health Parliament with the Scientific Support of the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD), we also advocate for prioritising data integrity, transparency, and ethical governance as foundational pillars for trustworthy AI in healthcare. By championing a data-first mindset, we aim to ensure that innovation is not only cutting-edge but also equitable, inclusive, and grounded in human-centric values
