Dr Padmavathi Roy, COO of Data First, AI Later, is a medical doctor and healthcare IT strategist with over two decades of experience in digital health, enterprise platforms, and cybersecurity. A former Chair of The Open Group Healthcare Forum, she brings clinical insight and design thinking to global conversations on data governance, cybersecurity, and the responsible future of AI.
Padma is a physician with an MBA in IT and General Management, bringing together clinical expertise and more than 12 years of leadership in Healthcare IT and digital transformation. After nearly a decade in clinical practice, he transitioned to healthcare technology, where he has led organisational agile transitions, design thinking initiatives, and value stream mapping projects to improve outcomes and efficiency.
Recognised as a DXC Master and part of the DXC Tech Honours 2019 global program, he has delivered impact across business analysis, bid management, and program and project management. He is a Certified Scrum Master, Leading SAFe 4.5 Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), and an HL7 2.6/2.5 Certified Specialist. His unique blend of medical training and IT expertise allows him to bridge clinical needs with secure, innovative digital health solutions.
